The Business Development Associate is a key team member who applies related experience in sales and business development, along with respective community connections in order to build client partnerships for AQ.

You are seeking an opportunity where you:

  • Prospect, engage with and consult with business in the small to medium market across Canada about AQ’s exceptional value proposition

  • Identify potential opportunities for business growth

  • Executing AQ’s strategic business development strategy

  • Introduce new clients to AQ in order to meet annual revenue goals

  • Coordinate with existing and concurrent business development efforts

  • Make connections with prospective clients, as well as your fellow AQ team members

A well-matched candidate for this role has:

  • Demonstrated experience in a business development role, with evidence of consistent and current success

  • The ability to overcome objections and pivot like Steve Nash

  • Exceptional relationship building and interpersonal relationship skills

  • Mastery of the elusive “follow up”

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills

  • Crazy time management skills, and the ability to track, make notes, plan and report

  • Been called a self-starter, and a born entrepreneur
